Legacy Frame Launchpad Deprecation

In April 2024, we released our new Launchpad experience. Today, we are announcing that we will be deprecating support for our legacy Launchpad experience effective June 30, 2025.

For any remaining customers who have not yet migrated, we will deploy the new Launchpad experience in two waves on May 18, 2025 and June 1, 2025 as part of our scheduled platform releases.

Legacy vs New Launchpad

Our new Launchpad provides users with a refreshed and more modern experience when accessing their Frame desktops and/or applications from Launchpad!

Beyond the new look and feel, the process for searching and switching between Launchpads (for those with access to multiple) has been enhanced. The original white square icon placed near the top-middle has been replaced with a new Launchpad icon in the bottom-left portion of the screen. Clicking on the icon brings up a new pop-up menu, providing a more intuitive user experience.

Can I try the new Launchpad experience in advance?

Yes! If you would like to try the new Launchpad experience ahead of the full release, you can manually change any existing Launchpad URL and prepend new- in front of launchpad within the URL.

For example:

  • Legacy Launchpad Experience:

    /customer/org/account/launchpad/desktop
  • New Launchpad Experience:

    /customer/org/account/new-launchpad/desktop

Can I migrate to the new Launchpad experience now?

Yes! Just open a support case with Dizzion Support and our team will enable the new Launchpad experience for your tenant.

Best regards,

The Friendly Team at Dizzion
