Frame Server 9.4.0 (Major Release)

Added:

  • Improved video stream quality and stability, especially on low-bandwidth networks

  • Introduced a new Quality Mode for superior video quality on good networks (to enable, add Terminal argument: videoQualityLevel=1)

  • Reduced video artifacts on unstable networks for a clearer picture (requires Chromium-based browser 134, latest Firefox, or Frame App 7.9)

Frame Guest Agent 2.4.0

Added:

  • Enabled support for running Frame sessions on Horizon-migrated machines. Machines migrated from C3 to AWS Horizon can now install the Frame agent and streaming software and be manually registered with the backplane.

  • Profile migration support added for AWS Workspaces. Windows user profiles now redirect to the additional D: drive on Workspace machines

  • Improved NVIDIA driver loading speed on Ubuntu.

Fixed:

  • Fixed missing SSO window after resuming suspended persistent desktop sessions (JIRA-1632)

Frame Server 9.3.0 (Major Release)

Added:

  • Support for new display driver (Frame Indirect Display Driver). The new driver will be available on new Frame-provided master images and can be manually installed on customer BYO images via the FAST utility.
  • Frame Remoting Protocol enhancements:
    • Upgraded WebRTC dependencies to version 130.
    • Upgraded FFMPEG dependencies to version 7.1.
  • Additional reliability and performance improvements.

Frame Server 9.2 (Major Release)

We are announcing the release of Frame Server 9.2 to all Frame Accounts in the Early Adopter Deployment Group, effective December 5, 2024. This release will be deployed to Frame Accounts in the Standard Deployment Group over the next 4 - 10 business days (M-F).

  • [FRP8] Issue related to end-user bandwidth estimate being lower than actual available bandwidth resulting in degraded session resolution under certain network conditions.
